WishList

Cos Trousers, Orly Nail Polish in 'Rage, Zara necklace, Cos Dress, Cos Cardigan, Cos Necklace, Vivienne Westwood Ring and Cheap Monday Shoes

A few Pieces I'm lusting after at the moment. It hasn't slipped my attention that these are decidedly winter inclined. I am really not a fan of summer clothes so I am subconsciously reflecting that here!
One thing I don't own yet is a pair of trousers. Not one pair. The more I think about it the more a pair of slim fitting tailored trousers appeal to me and these Cos ones seem to fit the bill perfectly. My love affair with Cos continues with the black midi dress, silver chain and sparkly cardigan. The are very much on my radar and when I get paid I think I will have to make them mine.

After seeing a few pictures about of people with rose gold nail polishes I began a hunt for the perfect shade. After looking at swatch after swatch I think 'Rage' by Orly could be the answer to all my polish  prayers.

Its a real shame that the neon necklace form Zara is sold out literally everywhere as I would love to get my hands on it. Same with these Cheap Monday boot/sandal hybrids, I can't find them in a size 7 online at all and I have yet to see them in a real shop. To me they are the prefect pair of shoes but I'm coming to the realisation that I don't think I will ever own them!

Last but by no means least is the Vivienne Westwood signet ring, its available but quite out of my price range, some saving is in order for this one. But this is after all a wish list and not a shopping list.

Photo Diary | Reunited

A few weeks ago now I took a trip to London to visit a friend. We used to work together up in Edinburgh but have both since moved down south. Living the hectic lives that we do we hadn't seen each other in over a year so it was great to catch up.
Our day was dictated by our quest for food. First a stop off a Wahacca for lunch. It is a Mexican street food restaurant that is honestly my new obsession. A post on that is on its way.
Then a meander round Selfridges with a quick macaroon from Pierre Herme and a lengthy browse in the Cos sale. I only bought one very small bracelet but if I had had my way I would have come away with half the shop. I am also a little bit consumed by my love for that everything Cos sell. Its so simple but always interesting. I think I am beginning to sound like a broken record!
Then of course my very first Pinkberry experience followed. I opted for strawberry, raspberry and nutella. It was great but I think that the frozen yogurt place in Brighton that I usually frequent (aptly named 'lick') might just be better.
It was a gorgeous sunny day that I could not have enjoyed more. I need to get on the train and go and see her more often that once a year. And not just because she shares my love of food. It is only 50 minutes afterall. There is just no excuse.

Nails | Pastel Spots

Don't they look like easter eggs?! I hadn't even thought of that until my friend said it. But they really do.
I wanted a change from the darker colours I've been gravitating towards lately so I opted for a base of China Glaze 'Re-Fresh Mint' a pale milky mint shade. I really could have missed out the shimmery top coat but seeing as its a fairly recent purchase I can't help putting it over everything. In this case I have learned that it is much more effective over darker colours. On top of this pale shade you can barely see it.
After being inspired by my friend Rhi's instagram of her nails I decided on adding some spots with a dotting tool in various pastel hues. I really like the outcome even if they do look like easter eggs!

Outfit | That Zara Bomber

Zara Bomber, Cheap Monday Top, Topshop Jeans, Ebay Shoes, Vintage Backpack, Rings: Vivienne Westwood, Accessorize and Vintage

So I caved and bought it. I just couldn't resist. Its beautiful and most definitely not me. I pretty much never wear colour or or prints of any kind but this jacket was starring at me form the sale rail in Zara. To keep the rest of the outfit well within my comfort zone I kept everything else simple in all black with the usual pile of jewellery and my vintage leather backpack.

I roped in my boyfriend to help with the photos, I think he did quite well! I couldn't help laughing most of the way through but with more practice I might find him taking my picture a bit less hilarious.

New Additions | Simple Details

Just a few of the things I have purchased recently. All four tops are from Cos, along with the lime green bracelet. The purse and Ipad case, which I intend to use as a clutch are from Topshop.
When it comes to clothes, basics are my favourite thing of all. I like to wear pieces that are understated and simple which make it easy to incorporate more interesting elements with accessories.
I don't like clothes to be fussy and Cos create well cut simple clothes in good quality fabrics that are beautiful but never boring.
I didn't purchase the purse and clutch for any other reason than they caught my eye and happened to each be half price in the sale. I love that they are shiny and subtly multi coloured. I am sure I will end up using them for something or other.

Sunday Supplement | 7

I feel like I might almost be settled down and back to normal with posting on here and on youtube. Just in time to move house! Yes thats right we have FINALLY been given the go ahead and my boyfriend and I move into our new flat next sunday.
We will have a lot to prepare in the days leading up to it but fingers corssed it will run smoothly. I'm trying to take the approach that if I'm as organised as is humanly possible it will be trouble free. Bit optimistic perhaps?!

I have been trying to not get too ahead of myself and get overly excited at the prospect as there have been a few set backs with the move. But now that we are past all that I'm really looking forward to being settled in a flat and not have to think about packing up and moving on any time soon.

Now its time for the fun stuff. I can pick all the little things like paint, wallpaper and bedding. If I had my own way the entire flat would be painted white with wooden floors and minimal classic furniture but my boyfriend of course gets a say and he has vetoed the all white. Im slightly gutted but I'm not surprised that I will have to compromise on my all white vison. And as for the rest of my dream furnishings money is the only limiting factor. So maybe one day I will be able to talk him round once I've saved up enough for all the beautiful things I would like!

Photo Diary | Brighton in a Day

Day two with my mum and of course more food! We also did a little shopping and looking around Brighton but it was mainly all about the food.
We started our day with a bag of cherries from the fruit stall by the station and things just really went from there!
Our fist stop was of course Boots. I will take any excuse to buy more nail polish and in this case force my obsession on my mum. Essie where offering a free manicure when you bought any one of their polishes. Being that I had a pretty intricate nail design at the time I encouraged my mum to make a purchase. She never wears nail polish and has never had a manicure so I thought it was about time to try. It was free after all.
She ended up loving the results, I think I may have brought her over to the dark side! After such a stressful half an hour wee needed a Krispy Kreme to fuel us on our way to more shopping.
We ambled about Brighton some more before stopping got lunch at my favourite cafe in Brighton, Cafe Coho.
After savouring the delicious sandwiches we had time to admire our new purchases. Two gorgeous amber rings. I love that they are similar but still completely different.

It was a lovely day one that could only be completed by having yet more food! Of course. After a brief afternoon nap on my part, my boyfriend my mum and I headed to the Giggling Squid for dinner. It serves amazing thai food and I will definitely be going back to sample some more of their wonderful dishes.

It was a great two days seeing my mum, hopefully next time it will be for a little longer.
