A Closer Look | Mac Soft and Gentle Dupe

As we all know I am no beauty blogger but I wanted to share with you this little dupe I have found. Now the shades are not exactly the same but they are pretty similar.

So you may or may not know I am a little obsessed with highlighters. I am constantly on the look out for that perfect one. After a couple of months of admiring from afar, I bit the bullet and bought the Mac mineralise skin finish in 'Soft and Gentle'.
Mine unfortunately does not look like the the pretty picture on the Mac website as I dropped it after having it for about 5 days and smashed it to pieces. With some pure alcohol I managed to smush it back together. It doesn't effect the use of it it just doesnt look as nice.
Mac describe it as a 'Gilded Peach Bronze'. I do love the shade but at £21.50 for 10g Its not cheap.

This is where the Elf baked Blush in 'Pinktastic' comes in. I love Elf products and nearly always end up purchasing something when they send out those free shipping emails. It was one of those emails that lead to me picking up this little number. It costs a mere £3.75 for 6g of product. Despite the low price I think the quality is up to par with its Mac rival.

As you can see from the swatches, soft and gentle comes up more peachy and on me slightly (only a teeny tiny bit) orange when on my face (yes I am THAT pale). I actually prefer the slightly pinker shade of the Elf blush and I have found from using them both that they wear exactly the same and both last all day on me.

I thought I would share my findings and if you are thinking of getting Soft and Gentle but are on a budget then I would definitely recommend Pinktastic.
Even if you aren't get it anyway!
