Where to find me

Photo Diary | Super Bowl Saturday

I'm not really sure where these pictures got lost or how I managed to overlook them but here they are!
Being from the UK the Super Bowl really meant nothing to me but to get into the spirit of the event a few of my friends and I ventured into times quire to take a look around Super Bowl boulevard.
The actual Super Bowl game was held in New Jersey but in all of the promotes it was billed at New York/New Jersey. The city went a bit crazy over it but it was a pretty novel experience getting to see it all first hand.

After enduring about as much as we could of the crowds at time square (unsurprisingly it was incredibly busy and more than a little claustrophobic) we headed to china town for a bit of lunch at Super Taste Restaurant.
My friend had read about it and wanted to check it out so off we went. It was really great food and incredibly cheap as well.

I did watch the big game that night, I has absolutely no idea what was going on but very much enjoyed the half time show. Bruno Mars knows what he's doing!

Thinking about it now makes me really miss the city. Without getting all emotional about it, it was such an amazing 7 months. If I didn't have all my pictures I would really start to think i dreamed the whole thing.
I can't even begin to describe what an amazing experience it really was.

Photo Diary | Shake Shack

Continuing with my pictures from my last few weeks spent in New York is my visit to Shake Shack!
I literally dragged my sister and boyfriend there in my last week in the city. I didn't really think things through as we ended up visiting their location near times square. Aka tourist central. I'm sure all Shake Shacks are busy but this really took the biscuit.

Having eaten at Five Guys on several (hundred) occasions I was determined to see what the Shack had to offer.
It was worth the wait. And the fight for the table. The burgers and fries where great but then there was the desserts! They are rather something!
After our burgers my sister and I shared a chocolate frozen custard. Which I was clearly too excited about to remember to photograph. Sweet things are alway my favourite part of any meal so its not surprising I loved it so much. All I could really liken in to is a really smooth ice-cream and we had some chocolate brownie pieces and sauce mixed in with it so it was a real treat. I dread to think what the calorific value was on it but luckily I will find out!

Next time (if there is one) I would probably get take out as the seating area is a bit of a free for all and incredibly busy but it was one of those things I really wanted to tick off my list.

A Closer Look | Marc Jacobs #DaisyChain Pop Up

I've been back home for over a month now but still haven't managed to sort out my last load of pictures from NY. Given than I am now two weeks into my new internship at Topshop and living in London I haven't really had any time to do much on the blogging front. Busy is a major understatement.

Anyway back to the topic at hand. The Marc Jacobs pop up shop. So obviously this was quite some time ago. It was held during the madness that was New York Fashion week back in February.
It no feels like it was about a hundred years ago but in reality was only a couple of months.

I heard about the pop up shop at work (unsurprisingly!) and being the social media obsessive that I am I really wanted to check it out.
If you didn't hear about this at the time it was a pop up tweet shop set up to promote the Daisy fragrance by Marc Jacobs. It was 'selling' small goods and other daisy related items in return for 'payments' on various social media platforms.
All you need to do was post a picture on instagram, tweet or post on Facebook using the hashtag #MJDaisyChain and show it at the checkout area of the shop. Then you could pick an item from those they had on offer and it was yours to take home completely free of charge.

I popped down on my lunch break to have a look and only had my phone one me (hence the rubbish quality pictures) so didn't have time to indulge in a free manicure or really spend too much time hanging around but after posting my picture on instagram I made my selection. I opted for the daisy pin you can see in the last few pictures. It has a small solid perfume but thats not really why I went for it. I wanted something as more of a memento rather an an actual perfume.
It also came with a cord so it could be worn as a pendant but I think I will end up pinning it on something as you would a badge or maybe just keeping it for the memories.

I think the whole event was a pretty genius idea, it certainly got people talking!

Wishlist | Studded Leather

Now I don't know if you can even still get this jacket. A quick scan of the Ragged Priest's website yielded few results. I know they used to sell in Topshop Oxford circus but seeing as this picture is (I think) over 2 years old I have no idea if they still do.

I came across these pictures when going through some old files on my computer when I was ill in bed a couple of weeks ago. If you have a really keen eye (an I will be amazed if you do) you may recognise this outfit from this post.

I am still lusting after a really nice leather jacket and seeing these pictures isn't helping! I don't know how much I would wear a jacket as covered in studs as this one but I think it looks pretty cool here.

If and when I do invest in my own leather jacket I think I will opt for something a little more subtle and toned down. The kind of thing you would wear over and over again and not get bored of.

WishList | HLSK

I am obsessing about the rings from Australian brand HLSK. I stumbled across their instagram page through one of my friends posting about them.

Without being overly dramatic it was love at first sight. As you may be aware I love silver jewellery and rings are my particular weakness. Add some beautiful semi precious stones and well, I am helpless to resist.

Their pieces are expensive but not nearly as much as I would have expected. Each item they produce is handmade and hand finished and therefore unique. And in my opinion completely worth the price.

I won't be able to purchase one of these beauties anytime soon but never say never!

Find them here and here

I'm probably late to the party on this one but how good are these?! The only conceivable problem with them being how on earth to narrow down which name to go for.
Oh and just the small task of finding £100 laying around.

A girl can dream.

Realistically given the right materials these must be pretty simple to DIY. Now just to find some iron-on american football jersey transfers.
Ebay here I come!
