A Closer Look | Muse Of London

Photos via Muse Of London

So Jason at Muse of London* definitely had his work cut out with my hair.
As you can see from the 'before' pictures my hair really was in a very sorry state. I haven't had it done for an entire year. Yep thats right it hadn't been coloured or even cut for a whole year.

I could blame so many things but the primary reason was being in New York. When I was over there my hair was the last thing on my list and then launching straight into a new internship when I was home I just completely abandoned it.
That and I am incredibly lazy with my hair. I wear it curly probably 95% of the time and it can disguise how bad a condition it really is in.

So Jason came to my rescue. I went in with an open mind I just asked him to do what he thought was best. My only request was I just wanted to keep with the blonde.
He advised me that instead of a full head of highlights, which I had previously that he would blend my natural hair colour into my the blonde to create a more beachy kind of ombre. And I love it!

He wanted to give me something that would be very low maintenance and natural. And given my track record this was probably incredibly wise!
For the cut he just tidied up the ends and I wanted to keep it as long as possible.

I loved my experience at the salon and all the staff were so friendly. I can't thank the team enough for my amazing new hair!

I have made a promise to myself to try and maintain it a little better!

Outfit | White Dress

Dress: Zara
Shoes: Topshop (old)
Necklace: Argos
Glasses: Ray-Ban
Watch: Calvin Klein
Rings: Vintage and Accessorizes

I'll be the first to admit this dress isn't really 'me'. I picked it up in the Zara sale for not very much. I think it was something a bit random like £16 or £17.
I got it with no real idea in mind of when I would really wear it. It seems to me that its more of a special occasion kind of a dress but I haven't got any of those on the horizon so I ended up wearing it to work with my trusty Topshop sandals. Also a sale purchase but from 3 years ago.

With it being pretty boiling here in Brighton at the moment my all black wardrobe is proving somewhat problematic so additions like this are making summer dressing that bit easier. I tend to avoid dresses in general as I am really not a fan of looking girly but this one is very simple and straight so its just about manageable. Even if there is a tiny strip of pink on it!

New Additions | Triangle Bras

Black: Bra + Bottoms
White: Bra + Bottoms
Blue: Bra + Bottoms

I am somewhat obsessed with soft triangle bras. When I spied a few, well more than a few (I had to narrow it down) in the Asos sale I couldn't resist placing an order.
I was unsure of the sizing having never ordered any underwear or bras from Asos before but I went for a small in the top and the same in the bottoms. They say that equates to an 8-10 and they fit me really well.

Now I just have to try and keep myself from ordering more.
